Good thing I tuned in for some "Fresh Blood" Sunday night instead of the Emmy Awards (Oddly, HBO was working Dish Network, but not Channel 4).
As much as I disliked the first episodes of season 3, TB didn't deserve to be snubbed for the Emmy Awards -- especially since Mad Men is horrendous and I don't even care enough to want to know what Glee is.
The only attention my fav guilty pleasure received? Anna Paquin got slammed for her dress, which was called matronly by some websites, and she was damned to fashion hell by being placed on the red carpet's worst dressed list.
It's kind of sad that she was treated so poorly about it (Entertainment Weekly suggested that she was judged by some announcers before she could even sit down), especially since she and her new hubby stopped at the awards to present, even though they are on their honeymoon.
Other than that, one of the announcers practically drooled all over Alexander Skarsgard . . . but who can blame the lady, right? But don't fret -- you'll hear our sheriff say he's on board for season four in this interview (below).
Say what you will about "Fresh Blood", but that hunk of burnin' Swedish love isn't going anywhere. If he did, Alan Ball would have some pretty pissed off Truebies on his hands. The preview that said, "Eric as well" I can promise is out of context. Eric's running a con, and hopefully, we'll see him running in the buff (or nearly) at the end of season 3, maybe the first episode of season 4 (of the books hold at all anymore).
Speaking of which, Mr. Ball, where the hell is the Bubba character? And since we're getting a super fangover by waiting until Sept. 12 for the season finale, it better be really good!
