The frenzy's already started. I went to see Iron Man 2 this weekend, and when I saw the Eclipse poster, there was a note just under Bella Swan's face that read "Tickets now on sale", though the premiere is over a month away.
Even Nordstrom is jumping on the Eclipse bandwagon.
Recently, the site began promoting make-up, life size cutouts of the cast and clothing (tees, skrits and more) that can be pre-ordered.
Most of the tees are in the $28 range while the make-up, which includes body glow, mascara, lip gloss and other goodies, runs from $16 to $30.
After all, it is Nordstrom. What I liked about the styles, however, is that the clothing goes beyond the usual tee with a pic of cast members or a team designation on it. These styles are a like hip, have a bit of a punk rocker flare and are shirts and skirts I could see Bella Swan wearing.
But there's much more going on than the pre-sale of merchandise and movie tickets. First, Billy Burke (he plays Chief Swan) has a music video called "Removed". It's not really my style of music, but you can decide for yourself and tell me what you think.
There are also a couple of new videos out on the Internet featuring scenes from Eclipse, but each one is under a minute long. The first is the scene that introduces the idea that if Jacob's going to kiss Bella again, she's going to have to ask him to do it. Edward and Jacob are about to throw punches when Bella's dad steps in. The second clip is where we discover Rosalie is jealous that Bella has the opportunity to chose to live, though the rest of them didn't.
