There's a lot brewing in the world of the Twilight Saga. According to online forums, some theaters may be showing a Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse triple feature. However, Breaking Dawn hopes could be dashed for fans depending upon how salary debates work out with Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz.
According to ABC, "The 'Twilight' actors who play the vampire Cullen kids have rejected Summit Entertainment's offer to return for a fourth and fifth movie, thus holding up the studio's plan to send teenage girls into fits of euphoria by announcing that 'Breaking Dawn' will be split into two installments."
The Cullen kids are asking for $4 million for each installment of the final flick. Until then, there's a hold-up. And who wants new actors at this point? Isn't the Victoria drama enough?
Until it all works out, fans of Meyer's series-turned-movie-phenom will have to make due with some of the new goodies they can sink their teeth into, such as:
Licensed Eclipse gear from Hot Topic -- Pre-ordering began today for merch that could arrive at customer's homes as soon as June 4th. The prices are sort of steep for tees, but it's nothing unusual for the chain. Expect to spend $20 to $25 on a shirt, but I like that the designs are more mature and similar to old horror movie posters (think Grindhouse). For more info, look here.
Eclipse Tunes -- According to Gather.com, the soundtrack will be released a few weeks before the movie on June 8th. Rumors that Paramore was turned down isn't true, however (they actually turned down an offer to be on New Moon according to MTV). The songs according to Gather:
2. Muse -- "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)"
3. The Bravery -- "Ours"
4. Florence+ The Machine-- "Heavy In Your Arms"
5. Sia-- "My Love"
6. Fanfarlo-- "Atlas"
7. The Black Keys-- "Chop And Change"
8. The Dead Weather-- "Rolling In On A Burning Tire"
9. Beck and Bat For Lashes-- "Let's Get Lost"
10. Vampire Weekend -- "Jonathan Low"
11. UNKLE-- "With You In My Head" (feat. The Black Angels)
12. Eastern Conference Champions-- "A Million Miles An Hour"
13. Band of Horses-- "Life On Earth"
14. Cee Lo Green -- "What Part of Forever"
15. HowardShore-- "Jacob's Theme"

June 6 MTV Movie Awards -- New Moon racked up five nominations, yet the stars also cleaned up in the best kiss category. Kristin Stewart was nominated for two kisses (New Moon and The Runaways kiss with saga co-star Dakota Fanning), Taylor Lautner one (with Taylor Swift) and Robert Pattinson was nominated for one with K.S. The gang has one of the highest number of nominations overall, combated mainly by Avatar and The Hangover.
Along with Best Kiss, the movie is also nominated for Best Female Performance (K.S.), Best Male Performance (both R.P. and T.L.), Global Superstar (all three of the aforementioned) and Best Movie.
Stay tuned for my MTV winner predictions as well as a poll about yours! There could be a prize in it for you!
