Fangtastic Previews : True Blood Season 3

Can't wait for True Blood Season 3?  It's probably because HBO and Alan Ball have magical adverting powers that make us obsessed as a teenage girl is with the hottest guy in school.  And let me tell you, there are a lot of contenders for the "hottest hottie on campus" in Bon Temps.

While the previews look like there will be quite a few differences from the third book in the series, there is evidence of a little action with Eric, played by Swedish honey, Alexander Skarsgård. Videos show him slamming her against the wall and asking to be let in, as well as an almost-kiss situation where Sookie (Anna Paquin) alludes that Eric has no idea what he's missing when it comes to her.  In the books, (spoiler alert) Eric loses his memory and Sookie nurses him back to health.

In addition, IMBD confirms my suspiscion that Joe Manganiello (below) will be playing Alcide Herveaux in 7 episodes.  And yes, in the books, Sookie goes from being a virgin with Bill to dating both the were, Alcide, and Eric the vamp. While some of the storylines for the season are out there, I think I can safely say two things that will be in the series that aren't touched on in the books are the love lives of Lafayette and Tara.

However, according to fansite True-Blood.net, the following will occur in the first three episodes:
Episode #25: “Bad Blood” (aka 301)
Sookie turns to Eric for help finding Bill; Andy urges Jason to stay the course; Sam reconnects with his past; Tara seeks refuge from her grief. (Written by Brian Buckner; directed by Daniel Minahan.)  Playdates: June 13, 15, 16, 19 and 30
Episode #26: “Beautifully Broken” (aka 302)
Russell Edgington, the Vampire King of Mississippi, concocts a plan to consolidate his power. Eric remembers his past; Sam tests the strength of his family bonds; Tara finds an ally in a shady vampire named Franklin Mott. (Written by Raelle Tucker; directed by Scott Winant.) Playdates: June 20, 22, 23, 26 and 30
Episode #27: “It Hurts Me Too” (aka 303)
In search of Bill, Sookie heads to Jackson, Mississippi in the company of Alcide, a werewolf bodyguard assigned by Eric to protect her. Jason is distracted from his police exams; Bud reaches the end of his rope; Arlene copes with unexpected news; Franklin charms Tara, and gets Jessica out of a jam; Eric bequeaths a gift to Lafayette. Haunted by visions from his past, Bill makes a surprising pledge of allegiance. (Written by Alexander Woo; directed by Michael Lehmann.)  Playdates: June 27, 29 and 30
Until the June 13 premiere, you can get your fill in several ways. Not only are more posters, previews and minisodes on the website, but there is a contest on the True Blood Facebook page.  Fifty cities across the nation are throwing a party with a Q&A web cast with Alan Ball and cast members, a viewing of the Season 2 finale, a peak at Season 3 and the potential to win $5,000 and supplies to throw your own TB finale party once the new season winds down.

Sounds fangtastic to me.
