I love Richelle Mead more and more all the time. After the Japan disasters, Mead's decided to get involved by signing some of her work, selling it on eBay and donating all the profits to Save the Children or the American Red Cross. According to her blog, Even Redheads Get the Blues, these organizations are also assisting tsunami-affected regions.
The few items she has up on eBay can be found here, but bids aren't so fabulous yet, so bid! As she wrote, "Each listing will tell you which charity eBay will send the proceeds to. These are books provided from my own supply, and I will autograph them before they're shipped out. Bottom line is that you get a book (or books), and a worthy cause gets helped." She's also trying to gauge interest, so if people won't bid, she may not put up more of your favorite things . . . YA and adult fantasy! Plus, you might break her poor, pregnant heart.
Not into Mead? Go here to donate $25 and pick a free book of your choice from the list for the same cause.
