According to Luxist, SeenOn.com, is going to hold a private sale of the red cape Amanda Seyfried wears during the movie, along with a bear-shaped pendant inspired by the film. In addition, the site reports "Red Riding Hood director Catherine Hardwicke, has signed five copies of her book, Red Riding Hood: Script to Screen".
The sale, probably in an eBay sort-of style, runs until March 12 at 8:59 am PST on SeenOn.com. If you don't have that kind of cash flow, make a cape yourself or have one made. I have one that I am using as a potential cover for my new book, but it's blue (see picture). My mom made it for me after Lord of the Rings came out and I coveted Liv Tyler's elf cape.
I like this better than the capes you can buy that come with costumes because I can wear it after Halloween, but it's very warm, too. She made the inside with a silky material, but the outside has a wooly feel to it that helps keep me warm during Fall weather.
If you want to make your own, try this pattern, or this one made for children.
