Criteria
Must be an original work. All materials used must be owned by the designer. In addition, cannot be used elsewhere (I.E. I don't want to see 200 other people with the same template as me). You may place your name/company as the designer at the bottom of the page/design.
Why is a writer hosting a Web Design Contest?
I am delving into the realm of fantasy as a writer and I'd love to have a better background for my page. Though I purchased the URL http://www.melissatyndall.com/, the page is powered through Blogger. I don't like what's out there in terms of templates and I have no idea how to design my own page. So, I've decided to open up a competition for all you designers out there!
What are the requirements?
The template/design must be compatible with Blogger. In addition, it should capture my personality as a writer (who is currently focusing on writing fantasy and southern vampire stories) and include my name.
What's in it for the designer?
I will select one winner and a runner-up. The winner's design will be used on my website and he/she will be awarded a $25 Chili's gift card. In addition, I will post a blurb about the designer on my website, blog and Facebook including a photograph, bio and contact links. The runner-up will also receive a blurb about the him/her on my website, blog and Facebook including a photograph, bio and contact links.
How to Enter
In the body of an email, send your full name, email address, mailing address (so I can send you the gift card)and any information and pictures you'd want featured on the website should you win. Also, send a screen shot of your work and your HTML as attachments by May 9 at 11:59 p.m. Please title the subject line of your email "Divine Website Design Competition" and address it to melissatyndall@gmail.com. Designs not selected will not be returned, but will not be used.
Note: I am not responsible for mail lost in transit. Should you choose to make this a joint project, please indicate all parties involved for blurbs. However, only one gift card is available.
