Meet Mrs. Lincoln

News today on who will be playing Mrs. Mary Todd Lincoln in the upcoming film based on the book Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies). I first wrote about this in the posting Lincoln: Slave-Freer and . . . Vampire Hunter?

According to Page to Premiere, which is "a website dedicated to following books in their journey to the screen", Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) has been cast as Abe's missus.

Page to Premiere states that, "Mary Elizabeth Winstead has been cast as Mary Todd, Abraham Lincoln’s wife, in the upcoming adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. She is best known for her roles as Ramona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Ingrid Superstar in Factory GirlBenjamin Walker has already been cast as the lead, Abraham Lincoln. Dominic Cooper and Anthony Mackie also have roles. The film is based off of the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. It is being produced and directed by Timur Bekmambetov and is scheduled for a June 22, 2012 release."

Bet 'ol Abe would have rather had Winstead than Todd (see below). Come on, Abe. Be honest!
