Big news in the world of vampires sometimes means that there will be no news for awhile.
Richelle Mead, author of Vampire Academy and the upcoming spin-off Bloodlines, won't be touring when the new stuff comes out in August. Why? She and her hubby will be touring the land of a first-time parent!
However, I was interested to see how having a bun in the oven had an impact on her writing, and she wrote about it on her blog.
I was especially amused by the lines:
Of course, that means I've had the interesting experience these last couple months of writing books while pregnant. It's a lot like writing books while not pregnant, except I can no longer drink a pot of coffee and plow through a chapter in three hours. Instead, I find myself taking lots of breaks because I need a nap or because a plate of bacon suddenly seems like a good idea.
In other news, our Spike has tied the knot (sorry ladies)!
Apparently, People got the exclusive and reported that James Marsters, 48, married his girlfriend Patricia Rahman Marsters (you think that's pronounced like Ramen Noodles?) on Jan. 14.
Hot scandal? She's a fashion design student from Trier, Germany who's 23 years his junior! (Hello, Douglas ♥ Zeta-Jones part 2!)
People says: Of their first meeting, Marsters, who also starred in Angel, told PEOPLE in 2006, "I met her backstage and got her phone number, but then my jeans were cleaned out by the crew and they threw it out."
He continued, "I'd given her my number, but she took down one digit wrong. It took her six months to call all of the different combinations."
