What's new in the world of Twilight? A lot. The third movie in the saga is only about two weeks away, but there's always something going on. Now Summit is suing over a jacket. Really.
According to an online article by Entertainment Weekly's Mandi Bierly : "Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the Twilight franchise, has filed a lawsuit against BB Dakota claiming copyright and trademark infringement because the label insists upon advertising one of its jackets (pictured) as 'JACKET SEEN IN TWILIGHT.'
According to The Hollywood Reporter, in their lawsuit, 'Summit seeks an injunction against further sale of the item, all profits earned from the jacket, and — the horror! — it wants B.B. Dakota to ‘deliver to Summit for destruction all Bella Jackets.’ "
Summit is suing to stop the sale of a jacket listed in the Jack line of products by BB Dakota (it's the only jacket in the line listed on the website). I say who cares? Did Summit use that jacket? Yep. So the company should be able to say that. In addition, that EW article proves that jacket was on the rack before Twilight was released. I bet you want it now . . . don't you?

A lot of sites are sold out of the jacket in anything but small or extra-small. When you go to Dakota Collective's site, it says (yes, they did the typo in the character name), "Bella Swann wears this jacket in Twilight and scores the hottest vampire in high school, and so can you!" but if you try to put the item in your bag, it says it's "out of stock". Do they think we'll believe that?
The good news? You can get still the jacket in any size for $66 through Fred Flare (free shipping after $75 and cool stuff other than clothes) as well as $48 at Glick's (30% coupon is b.s. because it can't be used other than in-person).
