Waiting Hurts Me, Too : True Blood Updates

On Sunday mornings, I count the hours until True Blood, and that was hard when my Celtics were playing in the finals, too.  The third episode of True Blood's third season will be titled "Hurt Me Too" (Though shouldn't it be Hurts Me, Too grammatically?) this Sunday.

My money's on Clapton singing the end credits, though there's about five songs with that title (Grateful Dead, Dylan, etc.).

The lyrics seem to be a good anthem for the Bill-Sookie-Eric love triangle (or the Bill-Sookie-Eric-Alicide love square), especially from the POV of every man who wants Sookie to ditch Bill.

Other predictions? Bill setting Lorena on fire might be a fantasy that turns out to be in his mind. No matter what, she's not dead. Here's my reasoning: a). If it was so easy, why didn't he do something like that before? b). She's a vampire! Vampire reflexes don't usually end in turning to catch a flame with your back versus dodging it completely. What will occur, I'm pretty sure, is she will end up torturing Bill for an act of violence (or an attempted one) or simply to "persuade" him to side with the King of Mississippi.

The other dish? Though some Examiner writers aren't fully reliable, I like Matt Carter and he has some pretty good gossip up today.  Apparently, real-life and on-screen betrothed couple Paquin/Stackhouse and Moyer/Compton had to cut a sex scene -- but not due to how graphic it was. (I mean, that's part of what we love about HBO and True Blood, right?)

Carter quoted Moyer as saying it was a technical issue (and not with his equipment, so fret not ladies). "My character would have had his head between Anna's character's legs. It was scrapped because of technical difficulty getting the shot with the number of camera set ups they had planned - as opposed to because it was too graphic."

The Examiner writer also indiacted that this season would bring one of the sexiest and shocking sex scenes ever seen on TV.  Contenders? He didn't say, but my guesses are 1). Lafayette and Jesus 2). Pam and a girl of her choosing (Pam does what she likes, but mostly the ladies or 3). Sookie getting essentially raped in the trunk of a car by Bill.

According to ABC, my favorite show on television has also been renewed for a fourth season by HBO. The bummer is that it's still going to be 12 episodes, which makes me crazy for more . . . but I guess that's the point.

The ABC/Hollywood Reporter piece claimed that the show's season three premiere "drew 5.1 million viewers -- up 38% from the Season 2 opener".  Congrats to HBO!

I'm sure Natasha Alam (above) being on the cover of Playboy (out now) this month didn't hurt. (Stay tuned for the 411 on the spread in the notorious magazine this week!)

But what might be the sexiest thing coming along is Ryan Kwanten's sex book, set to be released mid-2011. It's going to be called The G-Strategy.  Personally, I think it'd be funnier if he did it as Bon Temps superpimp, Jason Stackhouse. (The way Neil Patrick Harris is Barney Stinson in The Bro Code, Bro on the Go or The Playbook: Suit up. Score chicks. Be awesome.).

Before Sunday, send me your predictions as blog comments and emails and get an extra chance to win this month's prize.
