I am surrounded by people who love Apple products and today is a big day for the techies, graphic designers and electronics lovers in my life. Today, Steve Jobs announced the Apple tablet, and while there's no extensive video of the announcement yet (it just happened this morning), you can get the play-by-play through CNN's blog here.
From the leaked, amateur video I've seen online, this is a laptop with no keyboard. Instead, it looks more like a giant iPhone with touchscreen only! Online, I've heard this equipment called the "God" of computers and that it can recognize both your voice and your face. For artists, this video suggests that artists will have the capability to draw straight on the screen. Here's a list of people Tweeting from the event today that I got from the New York Times.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna pass. My iPhone is my bestie, but give me a tactile keyboard on at least my desktop computer PLEAZE.
I thought it looked like a giant iPhone, but didn't want to make that comment since I don't own either and therefore can't say for sure.
