Get Cocky With Your Style

On our anniversary, my soon-to-be-husband reminded me how much I love peacock colors and prints. He got me a purple purse, a scarf and a shirt with peacock feathers on it from Target. Perhaps my love for the peacock color comes from my childhood. First, I played a peacock in an elementary school play. Also, when we lived in Germany, the park was full of wild birds, including the one with the most beautiful plumes of all.

While the peacock has no neutral colors, like my fiancé prefers, I want to convince him to at least approve of a turquoise office or bedroom.I find the scheme hip, relaxing and modern. It's bold and brave, but I love it. Check out these examples from Apartment Therapy, Domino Magazine and other home interior blogs.

This mirror is nearly $3k on this site, but I bet you could DIY with small round mirrors glued to the wall around a square mirror.

As always, I love the things that people have designed on Etsy. These are some great pieces of jewelry, headbands, thank you cards, purses shoes and tattoo stockings.
